Peebles Installed As Vice President of Dayton HBA

Third generation new home home builder John Peebles was installed as the 2016 Vice President of the Dayton HBA at the annual inaugural ceremony on Saturday, January 30 at the Walnut Grove Country Club.

New homes in Warren CountyFollowing in the footsteps of many others who have contributed to the association since its inception in 1942, John will be the President of this outstanding organization in 2017 and the second Peebles to fill this role. Tom Peebles (L-4) is the 1995 Past President of the same organization.

Founded in 1942, the HBA works with local governments at the county, municipal and township level to advance the interests of the home building industry, discourage needless regulation, and otherwise create and sustain a builder-friendly environment in the Miami Valley.

The Association’s award-winning home shows — HOMEARAMA, Citirama and Rehabarama — have drawn more than a million visitors over the past 20 years. Citirama and Rehabarama have won the highest national awards of the U.S. Conference of Mayors and the National Trust for Historic Preservation.

The HBA represents nearly 400 member firms – 80 firms engaged primarily in new residential construction, and firms providing products, services, materials or skilled craftsmanship related to new home construction. HBA members employ more than 12,000 men and women in full-time jobs throughout the Dayton Region.
