Home Builders Association of Dayton Announces Leadership for 2017 Dayton, OH – The Home Builders Association of Dayton has transitioned its leadership for 2017, positioning itself for the future of the industry. Taking the reins for the upcoming year from the 2016 President, home builder Michael Dorsten, is John Peebles of Peebles Homes, LLC.
As one of Dayton’s top new home builders, Peebles Homes has specialized in new homes in Dayton, the Miami Valley and surrounding areas for over 60 years. An award-winning home building company, Peebles Homes specializes in building high performance homes that not only meet, but surpass the rigorous energy requirements of ENERGY STAR certified homes. A locally-owned Dayton home builder, Peebles Homes promises their customers the highest quality materials and workmanship, exceptional value, stellar custom service and durability that will stand the test of time.
The Peebles family has also long assisted the Home Builders Association of Dayton. John Peebles’ father, Tom Peebles, a second generation home builder in the Dayton region and 1994 Builder of the Year, served as president of the Home Builders Association of Dayton in 1995 and has been an active member of the Association for the entirety of his career. John Peebles is a third generation home builder and a talented young builder that will help reshape the Miami Valley for many years. Following in his father’s footsteps, John Peebles seeks to use his leadership skills and insight for home building and the Dayton market to strengthen the Association.
John Peebles was born and raised in this area and takes great pride in being called a Daytonian. John started at a young age in the residential construction industry. Beginning with sweeping the floors of Peebles Homes’ job sites, John was able to learn many facets of home building as he attained additional responsibilities. Through college, he worked at local construction jobs outside of his family’s business to learn the trade, plus gain skill and experience. After graduation from Southern Adventist University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, John began working with his father for Peebles Homes, LLC and has earned a Certified Green Professional designation through the National Association of Home Builders. As he continues to hone his skills as a home builder, John is committed to continuing a proud family tradition of providing quality housing for empty nesters and young families.
